Inside Corrie star Jennie McAlpine’s warm but minimalist home

Jennie McAlpine has it all – an amazing acting career, loving family and gorgeous home.

She is best known for two decade stint as Fiz in Coronation Street, and recently took over the tannoy for Supermarket Sweep.

The star might normally reside in Weatherfield, but off-screen she is based in the Manchester area with her husband and two children.

The actress is pretty private about her home, but has shared snippets of her interior design skills on social media.

Opening up her home last year, the soap star revealed the open plan, plant-adorned space on her Instagram.

Complete with herringbone flooring, pendant lights and a velvet sofa, Jennie’s home is minimalistic with luxurious touches.

Holding her then pregnant bump, the star poses in a yellow dress beneath a feature piece of art that showcases her wanderlust – a black and white print of a palm tree.

Showing her pug looking hungrily at her pancakes, Jennie posted a snapshot of her dark grey squashy sofa, featuring a subtle kid-friendly tweed print that looks stylish while hiding marks and scuffs – perfect for a home with two lovely children playing in it.

Across the room, hardwood floors frame an ornate wrought-iron fireplace with a lantern perched on the floor, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The actress has appeared on a number of talk shows in her time, but on a live link with This Morning earlier this year, Jennie’s wall art caught the eye of fans.

Behind her on the live link, a print of a bee can be seen.

The bee is a strong symbol for the people of Manchester, and has acted as an emblem for the city for over 150 years.

Jennie’s specific print is of the mosaic floor in the Town Hall in Manchester, and is by Paul Grogan Photography.

In a festive post, the star previously showcased some very sweet Christmas decorations.

She snapped a photo of some personalised Christmas tree baubles for each of her children – Albert and Hilda.

The Corrie star has not posted on her Instagram since December 2019, so hopefully she gives us more insight into her interiors very soon.
